Acro Hotel

Jan Luijkenstraat 44, Amsterdam NL 1071 CR

Our Review

The Acro Hotel is located in the more peaceful museum district of the city, while the rest of the city can be easly accessed on foot or public transport. Guestrooms are clean, functional, and equipped with standard amenities. A generous buffet is available daily for breakfast, while the bar is open late into the night. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, making this a good choice for budget travellers, and groups.

The Acro Hotel is housed in a typical Dutch townhouse with a red brick façade, which blends in well with the surrounding architecture. The small, bright lobby is decorated in a functional but modern style, with a tiled floor, faux tiled reception desk and lots of foliage. The 65 guestrooms are also designed in a modern style, with crisp, clean bedspreads, parquet floors, light blue-grey walls and wicker furniture. They are in reasonable condition for a hotel of this category, with small and quite basic bathrooms. The restaurant is small and only serves lunch/ dinner on request, but, once again, is modern with mirrored walls and black marble décor. The hotel bar, with its black and white check board floor, boasts more atmosphere than many street cafés.
