The hotel mixed up my booking of a double bed with that of a twin bed. The twin bed room was small and had no window and did not redflect value for money. The entire first floor was both smokey and held a strong lingering paint odours. Service was relatively good given that in lieu of room mix up, i was able to move to an apartment next to the hotel at no additional cost however the apartment entrance was dilapidated and apartment very dusty however included windows and double bed. Very good location for Leinsplein, a very good area if you wish to avoid red light district and enjoy the drinking scene. Also very good location for central areas and good access for eastern cultural quarter.

I would recommend it as it was good value for money. But because its on a main road if ur located at the front of the hotel it is seriously noisy, especially at 6am!!!!

Hotel is in an excellent location for getting to all the tourist venues-just round the corner from the flower market.Very helpful staff who looked up info for us a couple of times.Breakfast was good-self service. You could have a hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, beans, sausage and not just the cold continental breakfast that is sometimes the only option. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
Top Tip
1.Found a very good steak restaurant called Bistro La Forge de Alberto at Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 26. This is in a little street just off the Leidseplein.
2.If flying with KLM-buy the discounted Holland Pass- it saved us quite a bit of cash and we jumped the queues at the museums.

No tea/coffee making facilities and no room service. No other complaints apart from these though and would highly recommend the hotel.
