Go to Madame Tussauds...you'll enjoy it more than you thought!! Fun...you'll do a boat trip for sure. Just take in the architecture, Amsterdam is soo beautiful...eat on a balcony over the canals..the whole place is fab!! At least one coffee shop....;)

a good place to stay but dont bother with the restaurant, no atmosphere, mediocre food and overpriced. breakfast is nowhere as good as it was a couple of years ago
Top Tip

This is a great hotel with friendly staff. If you want to be in the heart of all the attractions but quiet enough for a good nights sleep this is the one for you

Use the canal boats as much as possible, they're pretty cheap and you get a better view of the city. Trams are crowded and take you on lines out of the city but not accross. Pretty much everything is worth a look!

Housekeeping very poor. Was not advised had to hang out sign to say "Clean Room" therefore it was very late afternoon before room was cleaned - one time I had to 'phone to reception to have this done. Take a taxi from Central Station, although easy to find once you knew where you were going it was difficult initially.
