Front bedrooms noisy, yells in the square, car horns and sirens until at least 0400 every night of the week we were there. Ear plugs were on our bedside tables! After first night we asked for a quieter room and staff were excellent in upgrading us at no extra cost to a room at the back. There was still some noise especially with the window open but we could sleep. Food good. Good buffet breakfast. Nice art deco surroundings with lots of paintings and stained glass windows. Helpful staff stored luggage after checkout for a late flight home.
Apart from the noise the hotel is central for easy walking round the city.
Top Tip
Everyone speaks English.
Restaurants we liked were:
Ristorante d'Antica on Reguliersdwarsstraat, 3mins walk away. Superb food, a little expensive but worth it.
Tashi Deleg a combined Tibetan and Indonesian restaurant on Utrechtsestraat, 5 mins walk away. Good. Friendly. Try the Tibetan Rice Beer.

Good hotel in good location - sometimes room over the square could be a little noisy if one had to open the window for air during the night.
Top Tip
Plenty of restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance of sights. Also tram just outside door. Staff helpful and friendly.
