Staff very friendly in hotel. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Really enjoyed the stay. Would defineltly stay there again. Was a bit nervous about some of the reviews about noise outside on the streets but we didn't have any problems like that in the newly renovated saection.
Top Tip
Really enjoyed the dinner cruise on the canals. Very reasonable price too.

Single bedrooms are small and are not equal to a 5 star hotel.

This is my 3rd time to stay in this hotel,as it is well located to everything you may want to see. the hotel is clean and standards ard good. but they could do with a revamp of the rooms .for a 5* hotel. in my standards it wold be classed as a 3* here, but over all the hotel is clean ,and the staff is very helpful. hotel is in great location.

The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant. Very professional and really friendly. They upgraded our room upon check-in when they realised it was my partners birthday and left him a birthday card and tin of biscuits on the day. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpfulwhen giving directions and recommending restaurants.
Top Tip
Some of the food is pretty poor in the local restaurants and pricey. It is worth asking your hotel for reccommendations on where to eat. Skavinnis an italian restaurant not far from Dam square is very tasty and reasonably priced.

What a beautiful hotel in a great central area. Customer Service was excellent - David on reception excelled himself and made us feel special. We were put into an apartment rather than the main hotel - we had a choice - it was great as we had a lounge/kitchen, shower room /wc and bedroom. TV in the lounge and bedroom so my husband could catch up with his football and I could watch another programme Washer/dryer in the kitchen along with a dish washer. Breakfast was included in our deal and it was great - champagne included what a way to start your day. We stayed for 3 nights. Would stay again and in fact have recommended it to others already. Trying to get my daughter to have her hen weekend in Amsterdam so I can go back.

With the Euro rate being so bad it was quite expensive to eat out. Many restaurants had special offers. A visit to Anne Franks house is a must ans a visit to the flower market was very enjoyable. Our flight was not until 10.15 p.m. the hotel agreed to a late checkoput but instead we booked a half day tour to see the countryside and windmills. The tour started at 12.30 and was for 4 1/2 hour we visited Edam where we visited a cheese factory an then went to see windmills. Got back to Amsterdam around 17.00 picked out bags up from the the hotel then went to the airport. Only bad thing was the weather - it rained quite a bit but thats not hotels fault....

Probably the best location in Amsterdam, right on the Dam Square. Rooms very comfortable with lots of nice touches. The buffet breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice. Frest fruits, cereals, breads, Eggs benedict, cheese, ham, salmon etc......... even Cava to make yourself a Bucks Fizz. However, make sure it's included as it's 29.50Euro otherwise.

Hadn't realised the Dutch spartan rooms,on saying that bed was very comfortable. Our room was at the front of the hotel and noise of trams and revellers was slightly annoying.
