Completely renovated in 2005, the NH Amsterdam Centre is a luxurious hotel with an elegant modern façade. The medium sized lobby exudes a warm atmosphere, with wood floors, black and orange décor, soft lighting and red upholstered furniture. Also medium sized, the 230 guestrooms feature hardwood floors, a somewhat clinical beige and cream décor and soft furnishings. Both the guestrooms and the en suite bathrooms are both in very good condition. The hotel’s Italian restaurant "Bice" is very popular with local businessmen and overlooks the Leidseplein. Alternatively, the Barbizon Bar Brasserie is a nice place to enjoy a bite to eat, a cocktail, or a coffee and tea with cake. It is also open every morning for an international breakfast buffet.
