Our Review

The Hotel Die Port van Cleve opened in 1870 and is housed in a traditional building consisting of numerous old townhouses. Its name refers to the previous building on the same spot, dating from 1592, in which Heineken brewed his first beer. The original interior, with its oak frame and blue Delft tiles is still intact. The lobby is small but welcoming with a small seating area.

room was dirty but bedding clean ... no problem with noise... Room was on the small side... Rooms were quite basic for a 4star hotel... our bathroom had staining to the ceiling ... situated on the fifth floor and the rooms above us echoed so loudly... First room had no natural air and not air conditioning... was stifling in August... rooms are small ... the decor is very dated... Quiet and comfortable...
