The NH Doelen is housed in a historic property, which was built in 1530 as a soldiers’ lookout post, depicted by Rembrandt in his famous painting "The Nightwatch." The interior of the hotel portrays an elegant mid-1800s lifestyle and great care has been taken to preserve the unique décor. Original and lovingly restored furniture is still to be found throughout the public spaces and the guestrooms. The main entrance hall and lobby are crowned by a beautiful open staircase, which leads to the guestrooms.
