I spent time at
the Eden Centre Hotel in Amsterdam last week. The hotel was very
comfortable and the staff friendly and everything spotlessly clean.
However, I have one big complaint. On the bar counter, there was a menu
offering toasted sandwiches and pizza. There was also a menu in each room
offering all types of Pizza. Yet these were not available. There was an
explanation on the last day that there was a change of management and this
service had been stopped. But it was frustrating, as we had planned on a
light snack at the hotel and then had to go out. The man on duty was most
unhelpful and just said he could not do anything about it without any
explanation or apology. The same gentleman refused another customer in my
presence, when she asked for Hot Chocolate. This was also on the menu and
there is no way it could not have been provided/ All that was needed was
hot water. I also resented that even though our rooms were prepaid for months and
indeed overpaid as one of our group became ill, I was still asked for a
deposit of 50 Euro. This should be on your website. But it should not have
been asked, when we had already prepaid and overpaid. It left a bad taste
in my mouth. I also considered it very rude on our first morning, when our
group was not all finished breakfast that the table was cleared from in
front of our faces, and indeed one lady had not finished her tea. We were
talking, and I suppose the person involved wanted to get away. But it was
once 9.00 am and there were about 20 or more places still free. It was
quite ignorant.

on arrival the man on the desk told us we had came to the wrong hotel and we had booked a different Tulip hotel even though I gave him the correct booking reference we picked up are cases to leave only for a quick thinking young lady behind the desk double checked and found are booking .We could have traveled to all Tulip hotels in Amstedrdam if it was not for this young lady .The man who made the terrible error did not even say sorry .Maybe you neeed to look at who is left at the desk .Thankyou
