The Nova Hotel is housed in five beautifully renovated, 17th century canal-side buildings in the heart of old Amsterdam. Though fairly small, the lobby incorporates a seating area, which makes it seem larger, and is decorated in a pleasant, unfussy style. The hotel’s guestrooms vary in size, due to the age of the building, but all are at least medium sized. Decorated in a neutral colours and furnished in a modern style, the rooms are maintained in good condition, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the breakfast room, which, though located in the basement, is bright and welcoming. Some of the best restaurants in Amsterdam are located on the hotel’s doorstep.
