Top Tip
Recommend buying a travel card at the local tourist office. Depending on how long a stay in Amsterdam. Travel cards available for 24, 36, 72 & 96 hrs. valid for travel on Local Buses, Trams, & Metro.
Very good value for money.

Clean, basic room. No frills here, but it was perfect for what we wanted, ie. somewhere to crash.

This hotel has a fantastic location. It is just next to central station and the centre is within walking distance. It was a good value for money. The hotel is curently in refurbishment so bar and restaurant are closed, but you have everything around there. You get a breakfest, which you have to take to your room, which i must say suited me.It is not that cosy Holandish hotel, but the location is fantastic for the price.

Rembrant house is beatiful and not crowded. The Van Gogh museum is crowded all the time, if you want to avoid the waiting time outside(can be 2hours)buy your tickets online or in any shop, where they sell them. Like this you avid the waiting.Do the same if you go to Rijksmuseum. Just enyoj it, Amsterdam is fantastic city.

Yes - its an IBIS so you know just what you are going to get. A very adequate standard of accommodation. Although the hotel was undergoing building works it served our purpose and offers an excellent central location next to the central station. It is easy to get trams and river tours from there.
